description route
Starting at the Altlohberghütte hut, this trail follows the Grenzsteig (border trail) through dense forests and open meadows. The route is moderately challenging, with some steep sections, but rewards hikers with stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Along the way, you'll encounter historical border markers and diverse flora and fauna. The trail ends near the village of Lohberg, providing a perfect opportunity to rest at a local inn.
